Allegations of Papers Leaked have once again surfaced during ongoing Intermediate examinations in Karachi. The latest controversy involves the Inter Part 1 Chemistry paper, which was reportedly leaked minutes before the exam began.
According to reports, the Papers Leaked incident raised serious concerns about organized cheating networks. Students were allegedly provided with solved answers through WhatsApp groups. These groups were active even before the official exam start time.
Sources claimed that the Chemistry paper was shared widely in areas like Larkana. This suggests that the malpractice may not be limited to one city. The situation has created doubts about the overall fairness of the examination process.
Criticism has also been directed toward the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Larkana. Many have accused the board of failing to act quickly. Despite repeated complaints, no effective action was taken to stop the spread of leaked material.
The issue did not end with one subject. Reports indicate that the English paper was also affected. The exam started at 9:00 am and continued until 12:30 pm. However, concerns remained about whether similar leaks had occurred.
Other subjects, including General Science, Economics, and Islamic Studies, were scheduled for the evening shift. Authorities continued the exam schedule despite the controversy. This decision has raised further questions among students and parents.
This year, more than 500 examination centres were set up across the province. Around 385,529 candidates are participating in the board exams. Given this large number, incidents of Papers Leaked have caused widespread concern.
Officials had already imposed Section 144 to prevent cheating and maintain order. However, reports suggest that cheating continued in several areas. Students were allegedly using mobile phones to access leaked answers during exams.
Power outages also created additional problems at many centres. Lack of proper supervision and poor conditions made it harder to control malpractice. These issues further weakened efforts to ensure a fair examination environment.
Education experts say such incidents damage the credibility of the system. They stress the need for stricter monitoring and better enforcement. Without strong action, the problem of Papers Leaked may continue in future exams.
