Babar Azam has matched the record of Virat Kohli for the most century partnerships in T20 cricket, placing both players at the top of the all-time list.
The milestone was achieved during a Pakistan Super League match, where Babar Azam built a 100-run partnership with Kusal Mendis. This stand marked his 47th century partnership in T20 cricket, bringing him level with Kohli, who also holds the same number of such partnerships in the format.
This achievement highlights Babar’s consistency and ability to build strong innings alongside his batting partners. Over the years, he has played a key role in forming match-winning partnerships across different teams and tournaments, strengthening his reputation as one of the most reliable batters in T20 cricket.
In addition to this global milestone, Babar Azam also leads the charts in PSL history when it comes to century partnerships. He currently holds the record for the most 100-plus stands in the league, with 18 partnerships to his name.
The accomplishment further cements Babar’s position among the elite players in T20 cricket, as he continues to match and challenge records set by some of the biggest names in the sport.
