Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari has criticized actress and TV host Fiza Ali over a controversial viral video clip. The clip shows Fiza Ali’s husband, Ejaz Khan, lifting her onto his shoulders after she jokingly asked him to do the same as he does at home during a live television program.
Bukhari stated that Fiza Ali’s pursuit of higher ratings has repeatedly pushed the limits of professionalism and ethics in media. While calling the clip apparently lighthearted, she said such content raises serious concerns about media responsibility and moral values.
She further pointed out that airing such moments without proper editing reflects a focus on ratings over editorial standards. Expressing concern as a parent, Bukhari warned that such content can have a negative impact on family audiences, particularly children, and urged media houses to exercise greater responsibility.
She added that this was not an isolated case, but part of a recurring pattern in Fiza Ali’s work aimed at attracting attention and boosting viewership. The minister stressed the seriousness of the issue and suggested that relevant authorities may examine the matter to ensure compliance with broadcasting regulations.
