Gas Supply Timetable Announced for Eidul Fitr 2026

KARACHI – The Sui Southern Gas Company has released its gas supply plan for the Eidul Fitr 2026 holidays, outlining timings to ensure availability for consumers during the festive period.

According to a company spokesperson, gas supply will remain available on Chand Raat, the night before Eid, and will continue throughout all three days of Eidul Fitr. However, the utility has scheduled temporary suspensions during late-night hours to manage pressure across the network. Gas will remain unavailable daily from midnight until 6am during the three days of Eid.

The company stated that special arrangements have been made to facilitate both domestic and commercial users, allowing them to carry out cooking and other essential activities without major disruptions. It was further explained that from Chand Raat until midnight on the first day of Eid, gas will be supplied without interruption to accommodate peak usage during celebrations.

For the second and third days of Eid, the supply will resume each morning at 6am and continue until midnight, following a consistent schedule aimed at balancing demand and supply across different علاقوں. Officials emphasized that these measures are designed to provide maximum relief to consumers while maintaining system stability.

Meanwhile, Eidul Fitr will be observed in Pakistan on March 21, following the non-sighting of the Shawwal moon. The decision was announced by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee after a meeting held in Islamabad. The session was chaired by Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, with participation from officials of the Pakistan Meteorological Department and other institutions.

Parallel meetings of zonal and provincial committees were also conducted in major cities, including Lahore, Karachi, Quetta, and Peshawar, to gather and verify moon sighting reports before reaching the final decision.
