The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the final distribution of prize money for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. The total prize pool for the tournament was US$11.25 million, reflecting a record increase made by the ICC in 2024.
The prize money was allocated based on team performance in the group stage, Super 8s, semi-finals, and the final. All teams also received a base participation payment of $225,000. The announced amounts are gross figures, before any applicable tax deductions.

India, the tournament champions, received the largest share of over $2.6 million, while Pakistan earned $522,692 for their performance. New Zealand, the runners-up, received $1.42 million.
The ICC explained that the prize money covers win bonuses, team placement, stage progression, and participation fees. This system ensures teams are rewarded for consistent performance throughout the tournament, not only for reaching the final stages.
Officials said the ICC aims to support players and national cricket boards with the prize funds. The increase in prize money reflects the ICC’s commitment to professional cricket and its goal of developing the game globally.
