US Embassy in Islamabad Cancels All Visa Appointments

The U.S. Embassy in Islamabad has cancelled all immigrant and nonimmigrant visa appointments scheduled from March 9 to March 13, according to an official announcement released on Monday.

The embassy informed applicants that those affected by the cancellations will receive email instructions regarding the rescheduling of their visa appointments. Applicants have been advised to keep checking their inbox for further updates and guidance about new appointment dates.

Despite the suspension of visa interviews during this period, the embassy clarified that it will continue providing routine and emergency consular services to U.S. citizens in Islamabad.

The announcement also revealed that consular operations at the U.S. Consulate General Karachi and U.S. Consulate General Lahore remain suspended for now. However, officials did not provide any timeline for when services at these locations will resume.

Visa applicants who had appointments scheduled during the affected dates will be contacted directly through email with instructions on how to reschedule their interviews.

Authorities have urged applicants to regularly monitor their email accounts for further communication from the embassy regarding new appointment schedules and additional instructions.
