Islamabad Police have issued a traffic advisory for a musical concert scheduled to take place at the Sports Complex on September 12, 2026. The advisory aims to help concert-goers reach the venue safely while reducing traffic congestion around the area.
Police have advised members of the general public attending the concert to plan their journeys in advance and follow the designated routes. General ticket holders have been directed to use Garden Avenue or the Jungle Track through Garden Avenue to reach the Sports Complex.
According to the traffic plan, general attendees should enter the venue through Gate No. 3 or Gate No. 4. After entering the Sports Complex, they have been instructed to park their vehicles on the left side as directed by traffic personnel.
The police have issued separate instructions for VIP ticket holders. VIP guests have been asked to use the main entrance through the Srinagar Highway Gate. They should follow the traffic police signboards placed along the route and park their vehicles in front of the mosque.
The advisory has been issued to ensure that traffic movement remains smooth before and after the concert. A large number of people are expected to attend the event, which could increase pressure on roads surrounding the Sports Complex.
Islamabad Police have urged concert-goers to cooperate with traffic personnel deployed around the venue. Attendees have also been advised to follow the instructions of officers and avoid stopping their vehicles at unauthorised locations, as such actions could create further congestion.
Drivers travelling near the Sports Complex have been encouraged to remain alert and allow additional time for their journeys. Following the designated entry routes and parking instructions may help reduce delays and prevent confusion at the venue.
