IHC Asked to Approve Hospital Treatment for Imran Khan

PTI founder Imran Khan may be shifted to a hospital for medical treatment after his sister, Uzma Khan, filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court (IHC). The petition requests that Imran Khan receive timely medical attention and proper examination by doctors of his choice.

According to the petition, the IHC has been asked to ensure that Imran Khan is examined by a team including Dr. Khurram Mirza, Dr. Asim Yousaf, Dr. Faisal Sultan, and Dr. Samina Niazi. The family seeks full access during the examination and treatment.

Uzma Khan’s petition specifically requests that Imran Khan be shifted to Shifa International Hospital for further care. She also asked that he undergo blood tests and other necessary diagnostics to ensure proper treatment.

The petition emphasizes that family members, lawyers, and PTI representatives should have continuous access to Imran Khan during his hospital stay. The application also seeks complete medical reports, including blood tests, eye exams, and diagnostic reports from the last three months, to be shared with the family.

Uzma Khan stressed the importance of timely updates regarding Imran Khan’s health. She requested that the court ensure all arrangements for his medical care are made promptly and transparently.

The Islamabad High Court will review the petition and decide on the next steps for the PTI founder’s treatment. The move comes amid growing concern over Imran Khan’s health and well-being.

Officials and legal experts noted that the petition seeks to balance the medical needs of Imran Khan with transparency and access for family and legal representatives. The decision of the IHC is expected to determine how and when he will receive hospital care.
