Gold Prices in Pakistan Fall to Rs455,500 Per Tola

Gold prices in Pakistan declined further on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, following a sharp correction in the precious metal market.

The latest reported rate for 24-karat gold stands at around Rs455,500 per tola in the local market. The 10-gram price is Rs390,520.

The price of 22-karat gold has been reported at around Rs417,542 per tola, while the 10-gram rate is approximately Rs357,977.

Gold prices had already faced significant pressure during the previous trading sessions. On August 31, the reported 24-karat gold rate was Rs466,136 per tola, after a decline of Rs1,800.

The latest figures show that local gold rates remain highly volatile following the recent correction in international bullion prices.

Internationally, spot gold was trading around $4,428.54 per ounce on September 1. The metal declined about 0.4 percent as investors monitored US economic data and developments in the Middle East.

Market participants are closely watching expectations surrounding US interest rates. Changes in interest rate expectations can have a major impact on gold because the precious metal does not generate interest income.

Geopolitical tensions are also influencing the international bullion market. Rising tensions in the Middle East have increased uncertainty, although stronger interest-rate expectations have recently placed pressure on gold prices.

The Pakistani gold market is also affected by movements in international gold prices and the exchange rate of the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar.

Local jewellers may quote slightly different prices because of making charges, dealer margins and market conditions.

Gold remains a popular investment and savings option in Pakistan. However, buyers are advised to check the latest Sarafa market rate before making purchases.

The recent decline could provide some relief to buyers after gold prices reached very high levels. However, further movements will depend on international bullion prices, currency trends and global economic developments.
