PIA Allowed to Operate two Daily UAE Flights

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is presently operating one daily flight to Dubai and another to Abu Dhabi as part of its ongoing international schedule. Despite regional security challenges, the national carrier has maintained select routes to ensure passenger connectivity.

According to sources within Pakistan International Airlines, flights to Riyadh and Madinah are continuing without disruption and are operating according to their planned schedules. Travelers heading to Saudi Arabia for business, work, or religious purposes are being facilitated as usual.

However, flights to Dammam have been temporarily suspended. The suspension follows reports of a missile attack targeting Bahrain, which raised security concerns in the region. Airline officials indicated that the halt is precautionary and that operations to Dammam are expected to resume once the situation stabilizes and clearance is granted by the relevant authorities.

Meanwhile, adjustments have been made to certain international flight paths to ensure passenger safety. Flights bound for Saudi Arabia are currently being rerouted over the Arabian Sea and passing through Yemeni airspace to avoid sensitive zones. Similarly, flights heading to European destinations and Canada are operating via the Wakhan Corridor in Afghanistan and then through Tajikistan, allowing the airline to bypass potentially risky airspaces.

Despite the evolving regional security environment, PIA continues to manage its operations carefully, prioritizing safety while maintaining essential international connections for passengers.
