Punjab Government Announces Adjusted Office Timings for Ramazan

The Punjab government has announced new working hours for all government offices during the holy month of Ramazan 2026. The revised schedule is designed to support employees who are observing fasting and ensure smooth office operations throughout the province.

For offices operating five days a week, the Punjab government has set working hours from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm from Monday to Thursday. On Fridays, these offices will remain open from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm to accommodate religious observances.

Government offices functioning six days a week will follow a slightly different schedule. From Monday to Thursday and on Saturday, working hours will be from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. On Fridays, six-day offices will also close early, operating from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm.

The Punjab government has stated that these revised timings will remain effective from February to March 2026, covering the entire month of Ramazan. Authorities have emphasized that all provincial offices must adhere to the adjusted hours to maintain consistency in public service delivery.

These changes are part of broader efforts by the Punjab government to balance productivity with employee convenience during the holy month. Similar adjustments have also been announced in other provinces, like Sindh, to facilitate office staff and ensure smooth workflow.

Citizens are advised to take note of the revised office hours to plan their visits accordingly. The Punjab government has stressed that the revised schedule applies to both five-day and six-day working offices across the province.
