The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has released its weather forecast for the holy month of Ramazan, providing details on expected temperatures and rainfall across the country.
According to the PMD, most areas are likely to experience dry weather during the first ten days of Ramazan. Daytime temperatures are expected to rise gradually, and no sudden changes in weather are predicted during this period.
PMD Deputy Director Irfan Virk stated that no rain-bearing systems are expected that could significantly change current weather conditions. Citizens are advised to prepare for higher-than-usual daytime heat, especially in exposed areas.
In parts of Sindh, including Mithi, Thatta, and Badin, temperatures may increase earlier than usual. The PMD advised residents to limit direct exposure to sunlight during peak afternoon hours to avoid heat-related health issues.
While the first ten days of Ramazan are expected to be mostly dry, the PMD forecasts a possibility of isolated rainfall in the second and third ten-day periods. Rain may occur in northern regions, central Punjab, and the Potohar region.
The PMD’s forecast serves as guidance for citizens to plan their daily routines during Ramazan. People observing fasts are encouraged to stay hydrated, avoid unnecessary sun exposure, and follow safety measures during high temperatures.
Officials emphasized that the forecast is meant to help residents maintain comfort and safety throughout Ramazan. By following PMD advisories, Pakistanis can manage work, fasting, and outdoor activities efficiently.
