Education authorities have introduced revised school timings for the holy month of Ramadan to facilitate students and staff observing fasting. The updated schedule is designed to help maintain a balance between academic responsibilities and the spiritual commitments of the month.
Under the new timetable, single-shift schools will operate from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM from Monday to Thursday. On Fridays, classes will conclude earlier at 12:30 PM. Authorities have also announced that teachers will have Saturdays off throughout the 30 days of Ramadan, allowing them to focus on religious and family obligations during the sacred period.
For double-shift institutions, the morning shift will run from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM between Monday and Thursday. The afternoon shift will begin at 1:00 PM and continue until 4:00 PM on the same days. On Fridays, afternoon classes will be held from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM.
Officials emphasized that these temporary adjustments aim to create a supportive and manageable routine for students, teachers, and parents during Ramadan. They have encouraged all stakeholders to plan their daily schedules accordingly and make effective use of the revised school hours.
