The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has finalized coaching appointments for Pakistan’s national football teams. The appointments cover the under-16, under-20, senior men’s, and women’s sides.
For the men’s under-16 team, former Pakistan captain Muhammad Essa has been named head coach. The team will compete in the UEFA U-16 Development Tournament in Kazakhstan from April 24 to 30. Jaffar Khan will serve as goalkeeping coach, while Muhammad Arshad and Nadeem join as assistant coaches.
The under-20 squad will participate in the SAFF Under-20 Championship in Maldives from March 23 to April 3. Former national coach Shahzad Anwar has been appointed head coach. Mohammad Habib and Sheikh Hamdan will assist him, while Noman Ibrahim will serve as goalkeeping coach.
In women’s football, Adel Rizki returns as head coach for the FIFA Women’s Series 2026. He will be assisted by Mahnaz Sadeghi and Solmaz Azimian, while Ahsanullah continues as goalkeeping coach.
For the senior men’s national team, the coaching staff includes Nasir Ismail and Walid Javaid Khan, who will work under head coach Nolberto Solano. AFC A License holder Muhammad Aslam Khan has been named goalkeeping coach.
The PFF aims to strengthen Pakistan’s football structure through these appointments. Officials said the focus will be on player development, competitive performance, and preparing teams for international tournaments.
By investing in experienced coaches at all levels, the PFF hopes to improve results for youth and senior teams alike. The organization also intends to enhance training programs and overall football standards across the country.
