Operation Radd-ul-Fitna-1 Ends After Major Terror Crackdown

Security forces have successfully concluded Operation Radd-ul-Fitna-1 in Balochistan, killing 216 terrorists involved in activities aimed at destabilising peace and development in the province. According to a statement issued by the military’s media wing, the operation was intelligence-driven and carefully coordinated to neutralise hostile elements targeting innocent civilians, including women and children, across multiple districts.

ISPR said the operation was launched after credible and verified intelligence confirmed the presence of Indian-sponsored terrorist elements posing an imminent threat to public safety. On January 29, 2026, initial actions began in Panjgur and the outskirts of Harnai district, where security forces moved swiftly to prevent planned attacks and disrupt terrorist networks operating in the region.

During the early phase of the operation, security forces targeted confirmed terrorist hideouts, resulting in the elimination of 41 terrorists linked to Indian proxy networks. These groups were described as actively working to undermine stability in Balochistan through violence, fear, and sabotage of development initiatives aimed at improving local livelihoods.

Following the initial engagements, a broader series of intelligence-based operations were launched across several areas. ISPR said sustained combing and sanitisation efforts dismantled sleeper cells and severely damaged terrorist command-and-control structures, limiting their ability to regroup or launch further attacks against civilians and security personnel.

As a result of these operations, a significant cache of foreign-origin weapons, ammunition, explosives, and equipment was recovered. Preliminary assessments indicated systematic external facilitation and logistical support for extremist proxies, reinforcing concerns about coordinated efforts to fuel instability within Pakistan’s borders.

ISPR confirmed that 36 innocent civilians, including women and children, were martyred during the operation, while 22 security and law enforcement personnel made the ultimate sacrifice. The armed forces reiterated their commitment to continue counterterrorism operations under the National Action Plan until all terrorist threats are eliminated.
