[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Aleem Dar, a world-renowned umpire from Pakistan, was honoured by players and match officials on Friday as he neared the end of his 24-year career.
Dar recently announced his intention to retire from the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Elite Panel of Umpires after 19 years of service.
His most recent match was a one-off Test against Ireland, which Bangladesh won by seven wickets.

Dar’s teammates and fellow umpires bid him farewell as he exited the pitch at the end of the game.

Dar had been a member of the Elite Panel since its inception in 2002, officiating more Tests and One-Day Internationals than any other umpire.
