The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced the fees for correcting the date of birth on national identity cards. The fees are available in Pakistani rupees and US dollars.

Citizens can request age modifications on their ID cards, subject to verification and required documentation. Applicants must provide proof of birth, such as a birth certificate or other official records.

Requests can be submitted at NADRA Registration Centers (NRCs) across Pakistan. Citizens living abroad can apply through Pakistani embassies. Applications are also accepted via the Pak ID mobile application.

The NADRA fee varies depending on the requested duration of age correction and the applicant’s location, whether inside Pakistan or overseas.

For applicants within Pakistan, the fee ranges from Rs.1,000 to Rs.5,000. Corrections of up to one year cost Rs.1,000. Changes of more than one year but up to two years require a fee of Rs.2,000. For more than two years and up to three years, the fee is Rs.3,000. If the requested change exceeds three years, NADRA charges Rs.5,000.

A second age correction within the same ID card costs Rs.10,000.

For overseas applicants, NADRA fees start at $15 and go up to $125. Changes of up to one year are charged $15. For corrections of more than one year but up to two years, the fee is $25. A change exceeding two years but up to three years costs $40. Corrections of more than three years are charged $65.

If the applicant requests a second age change from abroad, the fee is $125. You can read our guide on how to get your divorce certificate easily using the NADRA Pak-ID app and learn the step-by-step process for a smooth application.
