Snow continues to fall in Khojak Top, Khwaja Imran, Toba Achakzai, Qila Abdullah, Gulistan, Jangal Pir Alizai, Shela Bagh, and Mezai Adda. Residents are facing bitterly cold conditions.
The Meteorological Department reported that temperatures in Chaman have dropped below freezing, reaching minus 1 degree Celsius. Higher areas recorded even colder conditions. Khojak Top and Khwaja Imran saw minus 3 degrees Celsius, while Toba Achakzai experienced the coldest at minus 4 degrees Celsius.
Heavy snow accumulation has been reported across the region. Toba Achakzai received about one and a half feet of snow, Khojak Top around one foot, and Chaman nearly 10 inches. Roads and highways are slippery, and travel is becoming difficult.
Rainfall in Qila Saifullah city and nearby areas has intensified the cold. Intermittent snowfall is reported in Kan Mehtarzai and Muslim Bagh. The Met Office predicts that rain and snow will continue in Qila Saifullah until evening.
Meanwhile, Mastung experienced its first winter snowfall, covering the city in white and making the weather significantly colder. Rain in Kharan, Panjgur, and adjoining regions has also caused temperatures to drop sharply.
Authorities have advised residents to stay indoors where possible and take precautions against the extreme cold. Many families are preparing for challenging conditions due to snow accumulation and freezing temperatures.
