Speaker of the National Assembly, Ayaz Sadiq, has stressed that no member will be allowed to speak against Pakistan, the judiciary, or the armed forces in Parliament.
During his visit to Lahore’s National College of Arts (NCA), he highlighted the importance of peaceful protests and Pakistan’s growing international relationships.

Ayaz Sadiq praised NCA for its creative and research-focused students. He said the college has earned national recognition for producing graduates who contribute meaningfully to society.
The Speaker described himself as neutral, not aligned with either the government or opposition. He emphasized that his role is to maintain order and uphold constitutional discipline in the National Assembly.
Rules on Parliamentary Speech
Ayaz Sadiq stated that any member speaking against Pakistan, the judiciary, or the armed forces will not be allowed to continue. He said only constitutionally appropriate discussions will be permitted on the Assembly floor.
He added that opposition leaders following proper decorum will retain the right to speak. Protests are acceptable, provided they remain peaceful, without violence, vandalism, or the use of weapons.
Economic and Foreign Policy Highlights
The Speaker noted positive developments in Pakistan’s economy, including foreign exchange reserves reaching $40 billion and steadily increasing remittances.
He highlighted Pakistan’s growing international ties with countries such as the United States, China, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey. Ayaz Sadiq emphasized that truth and justice are crucial in preventing corruption in the country.
He also mentioned regular consultations with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, describing these discussions as constructive for better governance.
