Winter Break Extended for Schools in Northern India Due to Cold Wave

NEW DELHI – A sigh of relief for young learners as schools up to class 8 in several districts of Northern India, including Agra, Mathura, Gorakhpur, and Lucknow, will remain closed until January 14, 2025 due to the ongoing cold wave.

The authorities decided to extend the winter vacation as the harsh weather conditions made it difficult for students to attend school. Schools for classes 1 to 8 will remain shut in the affected regions, while Lucknow will see school closures until January 11.
