Women market in Islamabad

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Shahadat Awan, Minister of State for Law and Justice, informed the National Assembly that a women’s bazaar would be established in the federal capital.

The decision was made after extensive planning and research, and the government has already secured the necessary funds for this initiative.

Several supplementary questions were answered by the minister during Question Hour. He admitted that the previous government had established a women’s bazaar in G-10 without taking technical issues into account.

The bazaar, however, could not be made operational due to its location within the right of way of 11th Avenue.

In response to another question, the minister discussed the sewage treatment plant in Sector 1-9/1. He explained that the plant has a total capacity of 17 million gallons per day and was designed specifically to treat domestic sewage.

At the moment, the plant receives 3-4 million gallons of untreated domestic sewage. Furthermore, approximately 20% of the treated water is used to maintain green belts, nurseries, and plants in the area.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
