Speaking to reporters, the minister said details of the plan cannot be disclosed yet, as they will first be shared with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for approval.

Aurangzeb added that efforts are also being made to reduce electricity bills by July, possibly even earlier. He noted that 98% of budget proposals from both public and private sectors have been received, and the government is working closely with private stakeholders to finalize the budget.
He confirmed the budget will take effect from July 1, with no changes to be made afterward.
The minister expressed optimism that the IMF Executive Board will approve the staff-level agreement in May, as all targets have been met.
Reiterating earlier statements, he said relief for government employees is indeed included in the broader budget plan. He also stressed the importance of improved tax collection from traders, clarifying that business-friendly tax measures should not be misunderstood.
