The interim government in Pakistan is planning to provide relief to the struggling public by lowering petroleum product prices for the latter half of October. Reports indicate that petrol prices may decrease by Rs38 per liter due to a recent drop in global oil prices, which have reached a six-month low.
This potential price reduction would mark the second decrease in recent weeks, thanks to the recovery of the local currency and declining petroleum product rates. On the global front, oil prices have fallen by $7 per barrel, while in the Gulf market, crude oil prices have dropped by $92 per barrel.
