Vivo has officially launched the Vivo Y05 in Pakistan, marking an upgrade to its entry-level series one year after the Vivo Y04 debuted in February 2025. The new model targets budget-conscious consumers, offering a combination of a large battery, smooth display, and modern design at an affordable price point.
The Vivo Y05 features a 6.74-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720 × 1600 pixels. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate and can reach a peak brightness of 1,200 nits, ensuring clear visibility even under bright sunlight. The device has a metal frame and plastic back panel, an RGB notification light, and carries an IP65 rating for dust and splash resistance. A side-mounted fingerprint scanner is integrated into the power button for quick and secure unlocking. The phone measures 167.4 × 77.1 × 8.4 mm and weighs 209 grams, available in black and white color options.
Under the hood, the handset is powered by a 4G-only Unisoc T7225 processor, paired with 4GB of RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD card. It runs on Android 16 with Vivo’s OriginOS 6 skin, providing a user-friendly interface for daily tasks and casual usage.
In terms of photography, the Y05 comes with a single 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera for selfies and video calls. While not aimed at high-end photography, the setup covers basic social media and communication needs.
The device is powered by a 6,500 mAh battery that supports 15W wired charging, offering extended usage for gaming, browsing, and video streaming. The Vivo Y05 is priced at Rs 30,999 in Pakistan and approximately $109 internationally, making it an attractive choice in the entry-level smartphone segment.
