Naveen-ul-Haq Returns to PSL

Naveen is no stranger to the PSL, having previously represented both Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi. During the 2023/24 PSL season, he impressed with 9 wickets in just 6 matches. His global T20 experience spans top-tier leagues including the IPL, CPL, and BBL, making him a valuable mid-season acquisition.

Timely Reinforcement for Babar Azam’s Zalmi

Led by Babar Azam, Peshawar Zalmi have shown promise throughout the tournament but were left vulnerable after losing key foreign players post-break. The addition of Naveen ensures Zalmi retain much-needed bowling firepower, especially during the crucial business end of the season.

Naveen’s signing also reflects the broader challenges PSL franchises have faced in the second leg of PSL X, with many teams scrambling to secure replacements due to scheduling conflicts.

Ready for the Final Push

Currently in contention for a playoff spot, Zalmi are counting on Naveen-ul-Haq to deliver impactful performances straight away. He is expected to join the squad before May 17 and will be available for selection once the league resumes.

As PSL X enters its final phase, Zalmi’s move could be a game-changer—all eyes will be on how quickly the Afghan pacer can adapt and make a difference in their playoff campaign.
