Following Peshawar Zalmi’s defeat to Islamabad United in a crucial match of the Pakistan Super League season 9 (PSL 9), team captain Babar Azam provided insight into the reasons behind the loss. He attributed the defeat to the team’s subpar bowling performance during the latter part of the match. Azam expressed disappointment in the team’s bowling standards, particularly after the initial 10 overs, admitting they fell short of expectations.
Despite their strong start, Azam lamented their inability to maintain momentum and conceded that they had prematurely assumed victory. He credited Islamabad United’s Imad Wasim and Haider Ali for their pivotal roles in steering their team to success.
