Bollywood actress Urmila Matondkar has reportedly filed for divorce from her husband, Mohsin Akhtar Mir, after eight years of marriage.
According to Indian media, Matondkar has initiated divorce proceedings in a Mumbai court, as revealed by an anonymous source. A close associate of the “Ek Hasina Thi” star further confirmed the news, stating, “Urmila has decided to end her marriage with Mohsin after careful thought and has already filed for divorce.”

While specific reasons for the split remain undisclosed, sources suggest that the divorce is not being finalized on mutual terms.
Matondkar, 50, married model and businessman Mohsin Akhtar Mir, 40, in an intimate ceremony on February 4, 2016. The couple, who had a Nikah following their visit to the Golden Temple in Amritsar, first met in 2014 at the wedding of Indian designer Manish Malhotra’s niece.
Their marriage, notable for its interfaith nature and 10-year age difference, received considerable attention from the media and public at the time.
