The brains behind Pakistan’s 2009 T20 World Cup and 2012 Asia Cup victories, along with the cricket legends Umar Gul and Saeed Ajmal, are stepping up as the Fast Bowling and Spin Bowling Coaches for the Pakistan Men’s Team.

Umar Gul, who recently rocked it as the bowling coach for the Pakistan Men’s Team in the T20I series against Afghanistan and New Zealand, is all set for his new gig. He even coached Quetta Gladiators in the last HBL PSL season and was Afghanistan’s bowling coach in the ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup 2022. With his international debut back in 2003, he’s got some serious cricket wisdom to bring to the table.

And the Spin Bowling Coach? None other than the former world no. 1 ODI bowler Saeed Ajmal! This spin maestro, who has a whopping 447 wickets across Tests, ODIs, and T20Is, is ready to weave his magic as the spin bowling coach. Ajmal also did a stint as the spin bowling coach with Islamabad United in the HBL PSL franchise.

Umar Gul is stoked about this opportunity, saying, “I am pleased to join as the bowling coach of Pakistan team. I feel honoured to contribute to Pakistan cricket and elevate our bowling prowess to new heights.”

Saeed Ajmal is equally pumped, expressing, “I am truly honoured and grateful for the opportunity. I am delighted to contribute to the development of spin bowling talent within the Pakistan national team. My career and coaching experience will help enhance the spin bowling arsenal of the team.”
