Ukraine’s air force shoots down 21 out of 22 Russian drones in an overnight attack

Ukraine shot down 21 out of 22 Shahed drones used in a Russian attack overnight, its air force reported on Thursday. Ukrainian air defence successfully intercepted the drones over six regions in northern and central Ukraine. The governor of the northern region of Chernihiv noted that one of the drones struck a facility in his region, although he did not provide further details.

As a result, over 5,000 consumers in the region were left without power as of Thursday morning. In the Dnipropetrovsk region, the regional governor reported that air defence forces shot down two drones over his area.
