£350,000 Fine Imposed on YouTuber Adil Raja What Happened

A British court has fined YouTuber Adil Raja £350,000, approximately 120 million Pakistani rupees, for making false and defamatory claims. The verdict comes after his repeated allegations against retired Brigadier Rashid Naseer on YouTube.

The court dismissed Raja’s appeal, upholding earlier findings that his accusations were baseless. His defence, citing political victimisation, was rejected during judicial review. The ruling noted that YouTuber Adil Raja failed to provide evidence when asked in court.

This decision follows a previous legal setback on December 8, 2025, when the High Court of Justice in London had ordered him to publicly apologise to Brigadier Naseer. The apology was required to remain posted for 28 days on X, Facebook, YouTube, and his official website.

The earlier court order also demanded YouTuber Adil Raja pay £310,000 in damages and legal costs. This included £50,000 in damages and £260,000 in legal expenses, in addition to other court fees.

Justice Richard Spearman delivered the latest ruling during a High Court hearing. Raja had lost the defamation case in October 2025 and attempted to challenge the verdict. With his appeal rejected, his legal options are now significantly limited.

In October, the court declared all claims made by Raja against Brigadier Naseer to be false and defamatory. He was ordered to publish a summary confirming the accusations were baseless and that Brigadier Naseer had won the case.

Additionally, an injunction was issued restraining Raja from making any further defamatory statements in the future. Legal experts say the ruling highlights the accountability of public figures and content creators for spreading false allegations online.
