UAE raises visa fees for Pakistani travelers Details within

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has recently implemented changes to its visit visa fees for Pakistani citizens, effective immediately from June 2024. Under these new guidelines, obtaining a tourist visa for Pakistani nationals has become more structured and costlier. For a 30-day visit visa, applicants now need to pay 200 Emirati Dirhams, while a 60-day visa requires 300 Emirati Dirhams. These fees are subject to an additional 5% value-added tax (VAT), which adds to the overall cost of visa applications.

In addition to the increased visa fees, applicants are also required to pay a mandatory country processing fee of 500 Emirati Dirhams and an innovation fee of 20 Emirati Dirhams. The application process mandates the submission of essential documents including a passport copy, personal photograph, national identity card (where applicable), valid UAE medical insurance, and proof of onward or return travel arrangements. These requirements are aimed at ensuring that all applicants meet the necessary criteria for entry into the UAE.

The UAE’s decision to revise visa fees aligns with its broader objectives of streamlining the visa application process and enhancing transparency in fee structures. By imposing these changes, the UAE seeks to maintain its position as a top tourist destination in the Gulf region while regulating visitor flows and ensuring compliance with immigration regulations. Prospective travelers from Pakistan are advised to check the official General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) website or consult with UAE travel agencies for the latest updates and detailed visa requirements before planning their trips.
