On January 1, 2024, Ras Al Khaimah, a city in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), achieved significant milestones by breaking two Guinness World Records during its New Year’s celebrations.

The city ushered in the year 2024 with an extraordinary eight-minute display of fireworks and drones, setting records for the ‘Longest chain of aquatic floating fireworks’ spanning an impressive 5.8km and the ‘Longest straight-line drones display’ covering a distance of 2km.

This dazzling showcase resulted from innovative techniques, featuring 1,050 LED drones, a unique arrangement of aquatic floating fireworks forming a ‘carpet,’ and acrobatic pyro planes performing in synchronized harmony.

Inspired by Ras Al Khaimah’s natural wonders, the displays incorporated elements representing the desert, the sea, and the mountains. The entire presentation was meticulously choreographed to music composed specifically for the occasion.
