Joint Operation in Balochistan Recovers Two Karachi Transporters

In a successful joint operation, security forces have rescued two Karachi-based transporters who were abducted several weeks ago while travelling through Balochistan. The operation was launched after authorities received credible intelligence about the victims’ location in a remote mountainous area. Both men were safely recovered, marking a major success in ongoing efforts to curb kidnappings and criminal activities in the province.

According to official sources, the operation was conducted jointly by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and local law enforcement units. A heavy exchange of fire reportedly took place between the kidnappers and the security personnel before the victims were freed. No casualties were reported on the side of the security forces, though some suspects are believed to have escaped during the chaos.

The rescued transporters, who had gone missing from the Karachi-Quetta route, were found in stable condition and were immediately shifted to a secure facility for medical checkups. Authorities confirmed that both individuals have since been reunited with their families in Karachi.

Law enforcement agencies have initiated a search to track down the remaining members of the kidnapping group. Officials believe the gang may be linked to previous abduction cases targeting traders and transporters in southern Balochistan.

Security analysts say the operation reflects improved coordination between federal and provincial forces in combating organized crime in the region. The government praised the swift and professional response by the security teams involved, emphasizing that operations against such criminal networks will continue with full force.
