The government has unveiled an extensive plan to support freelancers within the nation, offering interest-free loans and resources to assist them in establishing their own workspaces. This initiative aims to empower freelancers and encourage entrepreneurship in the IT sector.

Additionally, the government intends to create 5,000 collaborative e-working centers throughout the country, providing freelancers with dedicated, well-equipped spaces to enhance their productivity. This not only opens up more opportunities for freelancers but also contributes to the expansion of the digital economy.

Dr. Umar Saif expressed optimism regarding discussions with the finance minister about establishing a joint fund supported by the government. This fund is designed to attract global investors and provide financial aid to startups, fostering innovation and generating additional employment opportunities.

Furthermore, the government is actively encouraging foreign investment in the IT sector by facilitating the transfer of accounts from foreign countries to Pakistan. This move aims to restore investor confidence and boost the influx of foreign currency into the country.

In addition, Dr. Umar Saif, the Minister of IT and Communication, intends to visit Saudi Arabia to explore investment prospects in the IT sector. This visit aims to strengthen bilateral relations and attract foreign investments to further develop Pakistan’s IT industry.
