Pakistan’s special envoy, Ambassador Asad Durrani, conveyed a strong message during his visit to Kabul that the interim government must take decisive action against the TTP. However, the Afghan Taliban responded by advising Pakistan to pursue a path of peace rather than resorting to force.

Despite Pakistan’s insistence on action against the TTP, the Afghan Taliban government seems unwilling to take that route. Instead, they reiterated their request for Pakistan to initiate peace talks with the TTP. In response to the situation, Pakistan decided not to engage in talks with the TTP unless the group surrenders.

The Afghan deputy prime minister encouraged Pakistan to prioritize peace over war and assured that Afghanistan would not allow its territory to be used against any country, including Pakistan. Pakistan is unlikely to accept the Afghan Taliban’s offer, and the special envoy is expected to provide his assessment to the Pakistani government to devise their strategy accordingly.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
