Supreme Court Summons PTI Chief Imran Khan in Lawyer’s Murder Case

The Quetta registry of the Supreme Court has issued a written order, summoning Imran Khan, the chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), in connection with the lawyer’s murder case. According to the order, Imran Khan has been directed to appear on July 24 at 10:30 am.

During the court hearing, the absence of the petitioner was inquired about, and the lawyer representing Imran Khan stated that he would appear as per the court’s summons. Additionally, the government of Balochistan’s request for more time to submit a reply was granted.

There have been changes in the bench hearing the appeal against the Balochistan High Court’s decision. The first hearing was conducted by a two-member bench, consisting of Justice Ijazul Ahsan and Justice Ayesha Malik. The second hearing took place before a three-member bench, led by Justice Yahya Afridi, along with Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi and Justice Mussarat Hilali.

However, the upcoming third hearing will be held before a three-member bench, headed by Justice Afridi, with Justice Naqvi still on the bench, but Justice Mazahar replacing Justice Hilali.
