Supreme Court Denies Live Broadcast Request for NAB Amendments Hearing

A five-member Supreme Court bench, led by the Chief Justice, heard the government’s appeals against the NAB amendments, with the PTI founder appearing via video link.

The Advocate General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa requested a live broadcast of the hearing. Justice Athar Minallah supported this request, but the Chief Justice argued that the case was technical and lacked public interest.

After deliberation, the bench rejected the live broadcast request by a four-to-one majority, with Justice Athar Minallah dissenting.
