Support Desks Established For Overseas Pakistanis To Enhance Support

In a strategic move aimed at bolstering support and assistance for the Pakistani diaspora living abroad, the Islamabad Capital Territory Administration (ICT) offices have established “Support Desks for Overseas Pakistanis.”

This noteworthy initiative closely aligns with the vision of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, which emphasizes providing comprehensive assistance and facilitation to overseas Pakistanis.

The creation of these support desks is the outcome of collaborative efforts between the Special Assistant and the Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA). Mr. Malik lauded the relevant departments for reaching this significant milestone in addressing the concerns of overseas Pakistanis. He commended the government’s proactive approach in launching these pioneering initiatives, highlighting the steadfast commitment to safeguarding the rights and interests of overseas Pakistanis.

The “Support Desk for Overseas Pakistanis” at CDA is dedicated to streamlining services for overseas Pakistanis seeking assistance through the One Window Operation. This support desk will provide one-stop services with a dedicated team handling applications from Overseas Pakistanis and offering services related to Estate Management Cases, Building Control Cases, Land & Rehabilitation Cases, and Revenue Cases.

The Chairman of CDA emphasized that the primary objective of these support desks is to provide convenient, one-stop services to overseas Pakistanis.

These desks feature a dedicated team of officials from relevant authorities, including Islamabad Police, the Revenue Department, Capital Development Authority (CDA), and the ICT Administration. They are available to assist overseas Pakistanis and provide services such as the issuance of International Driving Permits, Arms Licenses, Domicile certificates, among others, with efficiency and ease.

The support desks established at ICT offices aim to offer similar one-stop services, including the issuance of International Driving Permits, Arms Licenses, Domiciles, and more. Mr. Malik expressed his appreciation for the Interior Minister, Sarfaraz Bugti, and Chairman CDA, Capt. Anwar Ul Haq, for their swift response, enthusiasm, and commitment to the prompt establishment of these support desks.

The government’s unwavering determination to address the issues faced by overseas Pakistanis was reaffirmed, with a call for all relevant departments and institutions to effectively fulfill their roles.

These support desks are now operational at the One Window Operation, CDA office in G-7/2, and the Islamabad ICT Administration office in G-11/4, Islamabad.
