A failed suicide attack attempt in Bannu ended abruptly when the bomber was killed after his explosive device detonated prematurely.
According to initial reports, the attacker was moving toward a targeted location when the device malfunctioned and exploded before he could strike.
Security officials quickly reached the site, securing the area and launching a search operation to rule out the presence of accomplices.
Authorities believe the bomber was linked to a network operating in the region, attempting to destabilise peace through sporadic attacks.
The premature blast not only thwarted the planned strike but also prevented potential civilian casualties in the busy area.
Officials say investigations are now underway to trace the handlers and wider network behind the failed attack.
