Naseem Shah sustained a shoulder injury during the Asia Cup 2023 while playing against India on September 11 and had to be ruled out of the tournament.
With a heavy heart, I'm sharing that I will not be part of this amazing team that will be representing our beloved country. While I'm disappointed, I believe everything is in Allah's hands. InshahAllah will be on the field very soon.
Thank you to all my fans for the prayers!

In light of this, Hasan Ali has been selected as Naseem’s replacement in the 15-member squad.
PCB Chief Selector Inzamam-ul-Haq expressed his thoughts to reporters in Lahore today, saying, “Naseem Shah is a crucial asset for our bowling unit, but regrettably, he’s currently dealing with an injury. According to our medical team’s assessment, it appears Naseem will have to sit out for a longer period, extending beyond just the World Cup. At the time of his injury, he was, in my opinion, the world’s finest bowler. It’s undoubtedly a setback for Pakistan, and we’re hopeful for his swift recovery.”
Pakistan’s fast bowling department will be led by Shaheen Shah Afridi, with support from Haris Rauf, Mohammed Waseem, and Hasan Ali, in a team that sees minimal changes under the captaincy of Babar Azam.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
