SP City Islamabad injured in an attack while protecting women from harassment

In Islamabad, Superintendent of Police (SP) City Khan Zeb sustained injuries after intervening in an incident where a group of men were reportedly harassing women at an eatery. Local reports indicate that citizens alerted the police for help upon witnessing the harassment. Upon SP Khan Zeb’s arrival to address the situation, he was assaulted by the perpetrators.

Following the attack, SP Khan Zeb was promptly taken to a hospital for medical treatment. Both the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad and the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) visited the hospital to assess his condition and show support.

Authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident and are actively pursuing the suspects involved in the assault.

In a separate case, the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) cybercrime circle has apprehended two individuals, Adil Iftikhar and Ahsan Qayyum, for their involvement in online sexual harassment. The suspects allegedly shared objectionable photos and videos of a woman victim and extorted 68,000 rupees from her under threat. The FIA spokesperson confirmed these details, highlighting ongoing efforts to combat cybercrimes and protect individuals from digital exploitation.
