Punjab’s School Education Department has announced recruitment for School Teacher Interns (STIs) in government schools across the province, offering monthly stipends of up to Rs. 45,000.
The recruitment drive is open to eligible male and female candidates who meet the required educational and age criteria. Selected candidates will be placed in primary, elementary, high and higher secondary schools for a fixed internship period.

Eligibility Criteria and Age Limit

Internship Duration
The STI placements are temporary and will run for a fixed period.
The internship is scheduled to begin on November 3, 2026, and continue until May 31, 2027.
The department has clarified that these internships will not be converted into permanent appointments.

The initial merit lists will be displayed by the relevant schools on their notice boards.

Shortlisted candidates will then participate in interviews on October 29 and 30.
The final merit lists are scheduled to be displayed on October 31 at 10 am on school notice boards and the STI portal.
Selected candidates will receive their letters of agreement through the portal on November 2.
No TA/DA for Recruitment Process
Applicants should also note that the department will not provide travel allowance or daily allowance (TA/DA) for participation in the recruitment process.
Candidates will have to make their own arrangements for attending interviews or completing other recruitment-related requirements.
