Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 Introduces 200MP Camera And Gaming Boost

Qualcomm has officially launched its latest midrange chipset, the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, bringing major upgrades over its predecessor. Built on Samsung’s 4nm process, the new processor offers a 36% CPU performance boost and a 59% increase in GPU speed compared to the previous Snapdragon 6s generation.

The Snapdragon 6s features an octa-core Kryo CPU with four high-performance cores clocked at 2.4GHz and four efficiency cores at 1.8GHz. The integrated Adreno GPU supports HDR gaming and advanced graphics tools like Vulkan 1.1, OpenGL ES 3.2, OpenCL 2.0 FP, and Snapdragon Elite Gaming features such as Variable Rate Shading and Game Quick Touch.

This chipset supports Full HD+ displays with refresh rates up to 144Hz, ensuring smooth visuals for gaming and video playback. Connectivity is also improved, with support for mmWave and sub-6GHz 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.4. Qualcomm’s FastConnect system delivers wireless speeds up to 2.9Gbps.

On the imaging front, the Snapdragon 6s comes with the Qualcomm Spectra ISP, which supports up to 200MP single-camera sensors and 2K video capture at 30fps. Dual 12-bit ISPs are supported, along with slow-motion recording at 720p up to 240fps and multi-frame noise reduction for clear images.

The processor can handle up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, while offering features like Snapdragon Sound, low-latency audio, and Quick Charge 4+ for faster charging.
