Sindh to Distribute Free Electric Motorcycles to Women

The Sindh Government has announced a plan to provide free electric motorcycles to women to improve their transportation for work-related activities. The Department of Transport will distribute 1,200 electric motorcycles per year—allocating 100 each month—through a lucky draw system.

In a bid to boost mobility and support women’s participation in the workforce, the department has requested Rs300 million for the Electric Vehicle (EV) motorcycle scheme. The approval of this initiative will be discussed at the Sindh Cabinet meeting on February 27, where a separate allocation of Rs30 million is also expected to be approved.
