Sindh Government To Allot Housing Plots For Serving And Retired Officials

The Sindh Government has approved a new initiative to provide residential plots to serving and retired government officers. The scheme will allow officials to construct their own homes, improving their living conditions and long-term welfare.

The decision was formally endorsed in the latest Sindh cabinet meeting. Officials described the move as a significant step toward supporting civil servants and retired officers with practical housing solutions.

Sindh Civil Servants Housing Foundation Established

To manage the initiative, the Sindh Government has established the Sindh Civil Servants Housing Foundation. The foundation will be headed by the Sindh chief secretary and will oversee all housing allocations and related administrative tasks.

Six directors have been nominated to run the foundation, ensuring balanced representation. Serving officers include the transport secretary, anti-corruption chairman, and a section officer. Retired officers Gahnur Ali Leghari, Liaquat Ali Memon, and Rafia Haleem will also serve as directors. This mix aims to provide both practical guidance and institutional continuity.

Support for House Construction

The foundation will assist eligible officers by providing facilities to simplify housing construction. Financial and administrative frameworks will be finalized in upcoming meetings, ensuring smooth implementation of the program.

The Sindh Government emphasized that this initiative is designed to address housing challenges for civil servants and retired officials. It also highlights the government’s continued focus on improving the welfare of its employees.

The housing scheme is expected to streamline plot allocation, provide technical support, and enable officers to build homes efficiently. The Sindh Government continues to explore welfare programs that benefit civil servants and retirees alike.

This new initiative demonstrates the Sindh Government’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life for its serving and retired officials while maintaining effective oversight through the newly formed housing foundation.
