Sindh Food Authority Suspends Supervisor Due to Sand Mixing in Wheat

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Authorities in Jacobabad have suspended the supervisor of the Sindh Food Authority (SFA) who was involved in the mixing of sand with government-procured wheat.

In light of the allegations of sand mixing, the Jacobabad sessions court summoned the district food controller. Recent media reports highlighted the incident and exposed the fraud that occurred under the supervision of Jacobabad’s district food controller.

The SFA raided a warehouse in Jacobabad and apprehended food supervisor Ghulam Mustafa in the process.

Officials have confirmed the presence of sand in wheat stocks, according to the report, and video evidence has also been collected. As a result, Ghulam Mustafa, the food supervisor, has been suspended by higher authorities.

In response to the reports, the Jacobabad local court summoned the district food controller on May 29. The Director General (DG) of SFA, Syed Imdad Shah, revealed that the deputy director of food in Larkana has been appointed as the inquiry officer in this case. Following the completion of the investigation, further action will be taken against the accused food supervisor.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
