Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday announced the construction of a Danish School in Haripur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The announcement came during a ceremony at the University of Haripur, held under the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme. During the event, he distributed laptops to students to support their education and digital learning.
Addressing the students and attendees, Shehbaz Sharif praised the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for their resilience and bravery in confronting terrorism over the years. He also paid tribute to the sacrifices of police and security forces, noting that their dedication ensures the stability and survival of Pakistan.
The Prime Minister emphasized that empowering the youth is essential for Pakistan’s progress. He announced that more laptops would be distributed across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and recalled sending 600 students abroad to learn the Chinese language during his tenure as Chief Minister of Punjab.
Shehbaz Sharif highlighted that Pakistan can become a great nation only when all four provinces develop together. He also spoke about regional security, stating that Pakistan’s armed forces had successfully countered threats from India, crediting the victory to the prayers and support of the nation.
He added that Allah Almighty accepted the nation’s prayers, granting Pakistan honor and recognition internationally. So far, a total of 600,000 laptops have been distributed purely on merit. The Prime Minister also announced plans to send students abroad for training in artificial intelligence (AI).
On the economic front, Shehbaz Sharif stated that Pakistan had overcome economic challenges and was no longer facing the threat of default. He emphasized that sustainable growth requires unity, hard work, and determination, rather than superstition or shortcuts.
