The Sindh High Court’s Sukkur bench has granted bail to three accused, including main suspect Pir Asad Shah, in the high-profile death case of domestic worker Fatima Fariro, who died under suspicious circumstances in Ranipur.
Justice Khalid Hussain Shahani, heading a single-member bench, announced the reserved verdict, granting bail to Pir Asad Shah, Pir Fayyaz Shah, and Hina Shah against surety bonds of Rs500,000 each. The accused have been ordered to surrender their passports and are prohibited from traveling abroad until the trial concludes.
The case sparked nationwide outrage after disturbing videos emerged on social media, showing Fatima injured and struggling to move before collapsing. A medical report confirmed signs of physical and sexual abuse, with multiple injuries on her eyes, head, back, and limbs.
Following her death, authorities arrested several suspects, including the three who have now been released on bail.
