Celebrated Indian actress Sharmila Tagore observed her birthday on December 8 with her family. Recognized as one of the most accomplished figures in Indian cinema, she received the Padma Bhushan in 2013, India’s third-highest civilian honor, for her significant contributions to Indian culture through performing arts. Sharmila Tagore, renowned for her role in “Safar,” married Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, the former captain of the Indian cricket team and the titular Nawab of Pataudi and Bhopal, on December 27, 1968.

The actress celebrated her birthday surrounded by family, including her children and grandchildren. Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Soha Ali Khan, Kunal Kemmu, and Saba Pataudi joined Tagore for a family portrait. The images featured Tagore’s grandchildren, including Sara, Ibrahim, Taimur, Jeh, and Inaaya Naumi.

Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, known for “Jab We Met,” shared photos on Instagram, referring to Sharmila Tagore as “Mommy-in-law” and extending birthday wishes. Soha Ali Khan also posted pictures with the caption, “Happy birthday Ammu.”

Sharmila Tagore, a retired Indian actress, has received numerous accolades, including two National Film Awards, a Filmfare Award, and the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award for her contributions to Hindi cinema. Her recent films include “Viruddh… Family Comes First,” “Eklavya: The Royal Guard,” “Fool & Final,” “Antaheen,” “Tasveer 8*10,” “Morning Walk,” “Break Ke Baad,” and “Gulmohar.” She is set to appear in the upcoming film “Puratawn.”
