Hema Malini and Dharmendra, renowned for their roles in timeless classics like Sholay and Seeta Aur Geeta, tied the knot in 1980 and are proud parents to two daughters, Esha and Aahna.

On Friday, actor-turned-politician Hema Malini expressed her heartfelt wishes for her husband and veteran star Dharmendra through a touching birthday message. She shared an endearing picture on X (formerly Twitter), capturing the couple sharing delightful smiles.

In her post, the Seeta Aur Geeta actor wrote, “Wishing my dearest life partner of many years a very happy, healthy, and joyful birthday. May you have all the love your heart can hold, all the happiness a day can bring, and all the blessings a life can unfold. I just want to say: I hope you can see how special you are to me. Happy birthday to my love!”

Dharmendra and Hema, married since 1980, have weathered the storms of life together, establishing their union as one of Bollywood’s most enduring celebrity marriages. The iconic pair graced the silver screen in numerous films, including The Burning Train, Sholay, Raja Jani, Baghavat, Dharm Aur Qanoon, and Do Dishayen.

The couple shares two daughters, actor Esha Deol and Ahana Deol, and is also blessed with five grandchildren. Esha and her husband Bharat Takhtani have two daughters, Radhya and Miraya, while Ahana, married to Vaibhav Vohra, is a mother to a son, Darien, and twin daughters, Astraia and Adea.

Dharmendra’s birthday celebration was marked by a video shared by a paparazzo account, capturing him cutting a multi-tier birthday cake with members of his fan club.

Son Sunny Deol fed him a piece of cake, and Dharmendra greeted paparazzi outside his Juhu bungalow. Family members, including Sunny, Bobby, Esha, Abhay, and Karan Deol, took to their Instagram handles to extend birthday wishes on his 88th birthday.

On the professional front, Dharmendra is set to appear in an upcoming untitled romantic drama alongside Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. Additionally, he is part of director Sriram Raghavan’s next project, Ikkis, which features Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda. The film is scheduled for release on January 10, 2025.
